The Original British Superbike

The critically acclaimed new Triumph Bonneville range is coming to dealers in spring. But Superbike Championship rider Billy McConnell has already put the old and new Thruxtons through their paces.
The Aussie star, who rode for Triumph in both the British and World Supersport Championships, got kitted out in a vintage racing jacket to throw the original 1959 blue and tangerine Bonneville around the track.
So he couldn’t wait to see how the bloodline has been passed down through the decades on one of the two new 2016 Thruxton models.
Billy, who rode for the all conquering Smiths Racing team a year after Gary Johnson took top spot on a Triumph at the TT, said: “I only got the chance to try the Thruxton R so I’m itching to have a blast on the Street Twin and new T120’s too.”
Check out his new bike verdict here…
