London Bobber

Usually between the pages of RocketGarage you can observe many cafe racer, but as I always said my interest is 360 degrees, and this Bobber is something beautiful to look at and certainly also capable of giving good driving sensations.
Alex, the owner of this bike, is a Brazilian living in London who always loved the classics

When I bought this Softtail from Ebay I wanted to transform the classic look into another classic (a bobber) . And I've been collecting the bits a little while until when I found Danny Zeus from Zeus Motorcycles in East London. I dropped by to talk about the project, great guy and phenomenal work.

We stripped down to the bone everything of the Heritage including name and logos. Also customized the frame to give the hard tail look.
I have collected some classic bits like the Indian tire, forks and in his shop I found original vintage bits as the yellow 70's headlights and other tweaks .

I am very happy with the role process and the result. The final all-mate-black bobber wit comfort of a softail and the wild sound of the V Twin.

Above all I didn't want create a show piece bike, I wanted something comfortable, an authentic ride.

The Harley-Davidson Softail 1450cc was stripped down to the bone reveling only the most iconic features:
tank, dash, panel, engine and the wild roar of the V-Twin.  The all mate black bobber is authentic, wild looker and very confortable to ride.
Extra items expecially added to make the bike trully unique.
Screamin Eagle Performance Kit / Air / Exhaust
Harley Davidson custom frame
Springer Front End Forks
Handlebar
Wheels / Rims / Spokes
Indian motorcycle classic tires
Rear Black fitted fender
Custom seat
Foot peg extensions
Performance Machine front caliper
"Stop" side mount tail light
Vintage 70's yellow headlight
... to name a few.

Ehinger Kraftrad Speedster

Inspired by skinny grass track racers and a tribute to the racing bikes of the 1920s to 1940s, the Speedster is the second part of Uwe Ehinger’s speedbike trilogly that began with the Ehinger Kraftrad Snowracer.

The Speedster features a traditional 45° engine that looks like a Harley-Davidson Knucklehead at first, but is quite different upon closer inspection. Uwe Ehinger designed the Knucklehead cylinder heads with CAD software to fit the 1937 four-cam bottom end of a side valve Harley Davidson U. Other technical gems are the ohv-heads which feature an open valve train and the rockers which are machined out of a solid block of aluminum.
The extremely narrow 1“ primary belt transmits the power to the dry clutch of the Harley-Davidson four-speed transmission. The reward is a unique V-twin engine with 1200 ccm. The concepts for all other details were first designed on CAD and then built with the support of several great co-operation partners.

To achieve an appearance that is reminiscent of the grass track racers of the twenties to forties that were incredibly narrow, the tail section of the Speedster was narrowed and the rigid frame was modified from the original two tubes to a single downtube. The Springer fork was also narrowed, the dogbones are designed by Ehinger Kraftrad and the top clamp is machined out of a single block.

The oil tank, which appears to be missing, is integrated into the glittering banana seat and part of the frame serves as additional gas tank as the capacity of the main tank is rather small. The racing number plates feature the engine‘s original year of construction and the 22“ rear tire is equipped with a psychadelic wheel cover.
Bending the category a bit, the Ehinger Kraftrad Speedster was awarded “Best Flathead” at Born-Free 7 where Uwe Ehinger was the first ever invited builder from Germany.

21 DAYS UNDER THE SKY

21 DAYS UNDER THE SKY is an unconventional true story about those men who won't conform.

Four guys meet in San Francisco to start a 3,800 mile ride down the Lincoln Highway – the oldest coast to coast route connecting the east to the west.

Watch the Trailer

They are riding vintage “choppers”; bikes prone to break down or run out of gas. Through the highs and lows of a long journey, this story examines the timeless American love affair with the motorcycle and an even greater American tradition: the road trip.

It's not a biker movie about crime, drugs, and women, though these are obvious byproducts of a life lived full. This is a side of motorcycle living that isn't often told. Their journey becomes less about getting anywhere and more about going back to where things started; about the vast heavenly landscapes, the proud people they encounter, and the small towns they rest in. It is a contemporary look at the American Dream, and the fearless few that have the guts to go without a plan.  A reminder of what real adventure feels like.

Beautifully directed and filmed through the lens of famed motorcycle lifestyle photographer, Michael Schmidt, and written by poet and journalist Kate O'Connor Morris, this widescreen cinematic experience is the first of its kind, and is recognized as the seminal "chopper" film of this generation.  Narrated by actor Robert Patrick, he delivers the deep ominous voice of the bikers internal thought, the words we wish we could attain to describe our feelings for what it's like to be on an old chopper; racing through deserts and forest roads, salt flats, and two lane blacktops, camping on rain-soaked grounds, and emerging grease-stained from underneath your broken-down bike on the side of a road.             21 DAYS UNDER THE SKY is the one time the words EPIC and ADVENTURE can actually be used without the normal trappings of how these terms are tossed about in social media.
